For whom is this subsidy intended?

This scheme is for individual makers and cultural organisations in all art disciplines; for both young, upcoming talent and organisations with a longer track record. The scheme helps them to make and display their art and to develop professionally. Your plan must be carried out by one or more professional artists, as there is a different scheme for people who make culture in their free time.

Maybe you are not sure whether you are eligible for a subsidy or which scheme is best suited to your plan? Use the Project Subsidies Checklist.

What type of project is this subsidy intended for?

Within this scheme, you can apply for art projects in all disciplines, for example, in the fields of dance, theatre, music, literature and word art, but also fashion, film, photography and visual arts. You can apply for a subsidy for the creation of an artistic work or for presenting or exhibiting art. The projects must focus on artistic and content-related principles. The end result of the project must be made publicly available or accessible to the people of Amsterdam. A project may consist of several activities, clearly related to each other in terms of content. It is not possible to submit an application for an entire annual programme, but it is possible to request funding for a series or sequence of related activities.

It is also possible to submit an application for a work of visual art in the public space or for a contribution for development, research and experimentation (a stipend). For more information, please see the separate web page on stipends.
