Femi van Elshuis
Femi van Elshuis (2001) graduated in 2023 from the Amsterdam University of the Arts – Academy of Theater and Cabaret. She is an actress, theater maker, and spoken-word artist. Spoken word is the primary form of her work, which almost always starts from an autobiographical perspective. In addition to her graduation performance Ik wil wit zijn (I Want to be White), she independently created the spoken-word collection Femi. She has been working professionally as an actress since 2022, performing with, among others, Black Sheep Can Fly, DIEHLEDING, Raymi Sambo Maakt, and Het Nationale Theater. As a maker and performer, she appeared in Het Debuut 2023 by Via Rudolphi Producties and participated in emerging-makers programs such as Winter Karavaan 2023 and Zaal 4 at De Parade 2025 with Collectief Duo PeThottie.
