Noukhey Forster

Noukhey Forster is a multidisciplinary fashion designer from Amsterdam and the founder of the fashion label OHIM. As a self-taught designer, he explores stories of underrepresented communities and translates them into forward-thinking couture within menswear, deliberately operating outside established frameworks. His work brings together fashion, heritage, and research: through various research methods and symbolism, he captures personal narratives in color, texture, and form. Film, photography, and installation amplify these stories and place fashion within a broader social and artistic context. In this way, he builds a living, multidisciplinary archive in which stories are preserved.
In 2025, he presented his collection The Ways of Water during his debut show at Amsterdam Fashion Week, developed in the context of 750 years of Amsterdam. Alongside his fashion practice, Noukhey is also active as a curator; in 2023 he realized the fashion exhibition Shifting The Narrative at OSCAM, in which he made visible the position of the Black man within the fashion industry.
