Application stop for project subsidies in professional arts over 7.500 euros

As of September 2 at 3:00 p.m., applications for professional arts project subsidies of more than €7,500 (categories 3 and 4 of the Projectsibsidies 2026-2028) will be suspended. We deeply regret that we are unable to support many artists and organizations in realizing their projects.

Between July 1 and September 1, €5,012,222 was requested in categories 3 and 4.
For the second half of 2026, we have a budget of €1,761,493 for professional arts in categories 3 and 4. With the applications we have received so far, we have reached the limit of the available budget.

Have you been rejected due to insufficient budget?
This is, of course, frustrating. We want to emphasize that you may resubmit an application that was rejected due to insufficient budget. You can do so from January, when funding becomes available again for the first half of 2027. However, this will affect the start date of your project.

You can still apply for:

• all project subsidies up to €7,500, categories 1 and 2
• visual arts in public space, categories 3 and 4
• cultuurmakers (amateur arts), categories 3 and 4
