The multidisciplinary pop artist and theater producer Reinier van Harten (1991) creates performances at the intersection of music, theater and technology under the name REINDIER. On stage, REINDIER immerses the audience in melancholy vocals, experimental instruments, enchanting images and confrontational texts that are both timeless and modern. The contrasts in his work are also reflected in his chosen name: 'REIN' means pure, clean and virginal, while 'DIER' stands for emotion, intuition and instinct. The layering of his work and his fairytale-like appearance evoke comparisons to Kate Bush, Björk and David Bowie.
